The Mindfulness Yoga class is an introduction to the breath-body-mind nexus, using Yoga poses for grounding in the present moment. We will continually return to the asanas (poses) as reference points, as we practice with curiosity, exploring our relationship to our body, breath and mind. Our goals are to develop the qualities of open heartedness, confidence and acceptance. We will focus on the sensations of the breath in the body and the movement of the spine, spending time breathing through the sacral, solar plexus and heart chakras as energy channels. This is a beginner’s class, using gentle poses, with guidance throughout our time together.
